
The Veranda is in Fort Davis, Texas at 210 Court Avenue. It is centrally located just one block west of the historic Jeff Davis County Courthouse.
Fort Davis is located within easy access to Interstate Highways 10 and 20. El Paso is about 220 miles west, and Midland is 175 miles northeast. Often called "The Highest Town in Texas", the night sky is so clear you will see the Milky Way like you've never seen it before!
Fort Davis is a doorway to the Davis Mountains. It has the highest elevation of any town in Texas. Its mile-high (yes, the same as Denver, Colorado) climate is nearly ideal. Summer nights are in the high fifties to the low sixties. Summer days are in the mid eighties to the low nineties. The dry climate and gentle breezes make for warm afternoons and pleasantly cool evenings.
Winter days are usually sunny, and they warm into the low-to-mid sixties. Winter nights drop into the low thirties and high twenties.
