Charming place to stay. 14 inch walls, built in 1863. Ceiling in my room must be 14 ft tall. Nice family style breakfast included. No TV. Showers are nice … plenty of hot water.

Cozy place, feels like home. Very friendly owners, and excellent breakfast. Has a communal feel, you get to know the other tenants. Highly recommend.

My wife and I enjoyed staying here and would stay here again. Well done rooms with antique furniture. Good breakfast. Very clean. Wifi included. Welcoming and very nice people. Cookies out in the evening and fresh pastries in the morning.

We spent one night at the Veranda, and were very pleased. Room 11 is at the very back of the property. It was quiet; serene. It has its own exterior entry door, which is very convenient. The breakfast was nice, with boiled eggs and various cheeses along with pastries, etc. We will stay here again, and recommend it to others.
This is a historic place so everything is old but it’s so fun and unique. The staff was super helpful and friendly. Their garden was beautiful as well.

This a charming, clean historical inn. The owner, David, is helpful and welcoming! The location is great. We will definitely go again! The 4th of July activities made the stay extra special.|The location is great for the StarParty at McDonald Observatory.

We stayed in room number 9. We loved the cozy feel of the entire place. The staff was warm and inviting, the front porch was a great place for a glass of wine, the room and bed offered a great nights sleep.

This was our fourth stay at The Veranda and will not be our last! The quiet accommodations, attention to detail and warmth you feel from David and his staff are what make this an enjoyable and relaxing place to stay should you find yourself in the Fort Davis region. We had to leave quite early due to the weather system that was moving through and did not get to tell the staff how much we appreciated their hospitality.
